Educator

I am a high school teacher currently teaching in a neighboring school district, and I have been teaching since 2013. Throughout my teaching career, I have had the opportunity to serve a diverse range of learner needs in a variety of classroom settings.  I know that the School District of Menomonee Falls aims to put student success at the forefront of every decision and every goal.  My perspective as a current high school teacher, as well as my experience serving a diverse population of students will help me to do just that.

Parent

My husband, Steve and I have been residents in Menomonee Falls since 2013, and our daughter is currently a student at Shady Lane Elementary.  She loves going to school, and it has been incredible to watch her learn and grow thanks to her amazing early childhood teachers and special education teachers!  I am pursuing a seat on the School Board because I want to ensure the School District of Menomonee Falls continues to be a safe, inviting, and engaging place to learn for my daughter and students like her.

Leader

Throughout my years of teaching, I have sought out and served in several leadership roles.  While working at a project-based charter school, I served as the Lead Teacher.  In this role I was responsible for budget, discipline, maintaining the school’s mission and vision, and adhering to the school’s charter school contract.  While in this role I earned my Master’s degree and honed my leadership skills.  This experience taught me how to ensure that the day-to-day systems of a school aligned with the big picture goals.  In my current teaching role, I serve on the Building Leadership Team, the Communication and Reporting Committee, and the Math Leadership Team, as well as serving as the head of the Math Department.  I am fully invested in public education, and I see the difference it can make every day.
